Understanding Suicide Attempts

COVID-19 UPDATE:  We offer parts of the study online and safety precautions are implemented for in-person sessions.

Recent Suicide Attempts

In the past 5 years, have you made a suicide attempt, that is done something to harm yourself as a way to end your life? We invite you to participate in a research study that aims to better examine how different thoughts, behaviors, and emotions are related to decision-making and psychological symptoms.

What does being a participant involve?

We are looking for people between the ages of 18-55 years old who would be able to come to UC Berkeley campus for up to three 2-3 hour visits. These session will include an interview where we will ask questions about your experiences of psychological symptoms, questionnaires, verbal tasks, and computer tasks (during some of which you will have a chance to win more money).

We pay $30/hour so you can earn around $250-$330 by study completion.

If you are interested in participating, please click the button below to complete our brief questionnaire to see if our study might be a good fit. If you have any questions, please reach out to calmprogram@gmail.com.
