Rhythms and Rewards

A study for those with and without Bipolar Disorder.
The purpose of our study is to examine day/night rhythms in how people pursue goals and rewards. For example, some people tend to be excited and motivated to go after goals in the evening, others tend to be more motivated in the morning. We are interested in how these daily rhythms may differ for people who do and do not have bipolar disorder. To study this, we ask people to rate their mood, answer questions about the activities they are involved in, and play short games on their cell phone a few times per day for two weeks. We pay people $25 per hour for time completing the cellphone tasks.
For those who are local, this study can also involve an MRI scan. You can learn more about the MRI scan visit by watching the following video.
